6xZB1/10

Active 6-Channel Ignition Transformer (400 V / 700 V)

1. Special Properties

The driver system features six outputs with high isolation voltages, allowing operation of power semiconductors at up to 700 V RMS. It is built on a PCB with appropriately large clearance and creepage distances.

Three-phase thyristor bridges can be triggered for both rectifier and inverter operation, as well as three-phase thyristor controllers for resistive and inductive loads.

Triggering is performed via long-duration pulses with steep rise times, effectively avoiding the disadvantages of pulse trains. Conventional magnetic pulse transformers are bulky and offer poor rise-time performance.

The PCB integrates six ZB1/10 gate driver circuits. Due to the low coupling capacitance—both between outputs and between inputs and outputs—no shielding windings are required.
